Chrome Extension Permissions
ADHD Reading is a browser extension, so it needs permission to run reading tools on the pages where you enable it.
Last updated: May 20, 2026
Why permissions are needed
ADHD Reading modifies typography, focus, and highlighting on web pages you choose to read. Browser permissions allow the extension to detect page text and apply those reading enhancements in your browser.
Local-first reading
The core reading transformations run locally in your browser. Page content is not sold, used for advertising, or stored as a reading history by ADHD Reading.
Account and Pro features
If you sign in, the extension may check your account status and sync your selected reading preferences. Synced preferences are settings such as mode, typography, and focus options, not the full content of pages you read.
